16th Young Hollywood Awards 2014 Red Carpet Highlights

Held on July 28 in Los Angeles, the 16th annual Young Hollywood Awards celebrated young rising stars from the silver screen and beyond, bringing together bright shiners from fields including film, TV, music, fashion and sports. Hosted by the inimitable Kelly Osbourne, the show featured stunning performances from superstar acts such as Trey Songz, Colbie Caillat and Derek Hough.

The cream of Hollywood’s young talent was brought to The Wiltern’s red carpet, with attendees including actor and musician Ashley Tisdale (Phineas and Ferb), Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) and James Maslow (Big Time Rush), as well as TV personality Audrina Patridge, singer Siva Kaneswaran and vlogger Tyler Oakley.

The tragic romance story The Fault in Our Stars edged fellow nominees The Hunger Games and X-Men to the Favorite Flick and Best Cast Chemistry Award, also earning leads Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort the award for Best On-Screen Couple. Elgort had a successful night, also bagging the title of Fan Favorite Male Actor, decided by fans in an online poll, beating 22 Jump Street’s Channing Tatum and Twilight’s Taylor Lautner. However, Tatum did not go away empty-handed, winning the Best Bromance Award alongside costar Jonah Hill. Fans crowned Chloë Grace Moretz their Favorite Female Actor, against competition from fellow nominees Zooey Deschanel and Emma Stone. Ed Sheeran landed the award for Hottest Music Artist, while a special tribute was paid to Justin Bieber for his charity work on behalf of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
