Paris Fashion Week: Ground-Zero Ready to Wear Spring Summer 2014
GROUND-ZERO founded by brothers Eri and Philip Chu. The young designers began their journey in London, experimenting between Graphics and Fashion. Their signature paradox plays with prints and silhouettes, transforming concepts into visually aesthetic garments.
SS14 collection portrays the natural progression of adolescence, the same characteristics of flowers in the spring growing into full bloom. Colourful prints are embraced with a solid shade, enriching the fresh personalities of a young woman. Perspective changes as the light guides into the future, with reflective imagery in mind.
The silhouettes are significantly particular this season with irregularity and oppositions, Solid materials such as neoprene is combined beautifully with lighter fabrics such as organza, silk and extremely well crafted cashmere. The fragility and transparency segments are balanced with structural definition of shapes and lines. Striking full prints and distinctive primary colours are accessorized with clutch, gloves and customized headphones to empower the courageous persona of the Ground-Zero woman.
