Fashion One goes back to the ’90s with Naomi & Kate
Superstar models of the 1990s Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss feature on the front cover of Interview Magazine in Germany and Russia.Britains's two biggest supermodels face off in the December/January issue of Interview Germany and Interview Russia. Stars of the catwalk and major fashion editorials and ad campaigns ever since the early '90s, Moss and Campbell have remained in the spotlight as two of fashion's most bankable names.
The two were shot for both magazines by internationally renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and transformed by star stylist Patti Wilson from nude vixens into glamorous divas. Naomi goes topless in one shot, and the pair lounge around in classic 1970s-style YSL outfits.
In the exclusive interview, in which the two ask each other questions, Campbell reveals that, aged seven, she starred in a Bob Marley video: "he was such a handsome man. I remember I started crying when I saw his dreadlocks because I thought they were worms. But he was really, really gentle."
Moss also talked to Campbell about growing up in South London, racial prejudice in the modeling industry, and the fight for equality in fashion. Moss, who married The Kills rocker Jamie Hince last year, has recently been on the promotional tour for her new book, Kate: The Kate Moss Book, edited by her ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack and published by Rizzoli.
The December/January issue of Interview features "Beat of Inteview 2012," a round up of the magazine's year including Lana del Rey, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt, Keira Knightley, Victoria Beckham, Jeff Koons, Robbie Williams. The magazines go on sale in Germany and Russia on Friday, November 30.
